A: It's a six-part memoir spanning from 1982 to today, following my life from childhood through my journey to the Gulf Coast. Each book covers a distinct phase, offering an intimate, unfiltered look at survival, sacrifice, love, loss, and ultimately, choosing myself. This isn't a neat redemption story—it's a real story about what it actually costs to survive and what becomes possible when you finally prioritize your own healing.
A: People who've survived things they thought would break them. People navigating family complexity. People supporting neurodivergent loved ones. People recovering from mental health crises. People who've made choices they're not proud of. People learning to choose themselves. People who need to know: you're not alone in this. Above all else? People who value raw authenticity and true stories.
A: Because my life isn't one story—it's six interconnected stories. Each phase deserves space to breathe. Book 1 covers my childhood (1982-1998). By the time you reach Book 6, you'll have moved through nearly five decades of my life. Some readers will need time to process each section. Some will want to sit with certain books longer than others. The series structure allows for that depth and reflection.
A: It's a real ending. Not a neat redemption, but a genuine culmination of the journey. "Over the Rainbow" references both Dorothy's journey in Oz and the hope implied by that phrase. You'll understand why when you read it. I can say: I'm still here. I'm still healing. And my life is radically different than it was.
A: Yes. You're reading the truth about someone's life. Not a performance. Not a hero's journey. Just the truth. It will be uncomfortable sometimes. It will be validating sometimes. It will make you angry sometimes. And that's exactly as it should be. Thank you for showing up for this story. Your presence matters.
A: I'm a woman who survived childhood trauma, built a life, supported a family, fell apart, and rebuilt myself on my own terms. I'm also a digital artist, content creator, and podcast host. But mostly, I'm someone willing to tell the truth about what survival actually costs and what becomes possible when you finally choose yourself. My story matters because it's real, and there are millions of women living it right now who need to know they're not alone.
A: Although each book could be a stand alone story, the series is structured chronologically and build on each other. Book 1: "The Beginning" establishes who I am and describes the various childhood trauma I experienced. Each subsequent book shows how that foundation either holds or cracks under pressure. Reading out of order would spoil major developments and remove the impact of the journey.
A: Book 1 is a complete narrative about my childhood (1982-1998). It has a beginning, middle, and end. But it's also the foundation for everything that follows. You'll finish Book 1 and understand my early life completely. You'll also wonder: "What happens next?" That's where Books 2-6 come in. Each book stands alone while also propelling you forward.
A: Yes. Each book begins with specific content warnings for that section. Book 1 has no warnings as of yet but expect before publication it may. Books 2-4 have different warnings. Book 5 has extensive warnings. This allows you to prepare yourself and make informed choices about when and how to read.
A: I write about difficult topics honestly but not exploitatively. I don't include graphic descriptions designed to shock. But I also don't sanitize or minimize what happened. I write about the impact and reality of trauma, not the graphic details. Content warnings will be specific so you know what you're getting.
A: Yes, but more so about fighting self-harm urges. I discuss in depth the struggle, what it felt like inside my mind. There is not extensive discussion about suicide specifically- but I do openly, honestly, and authentically describe my experiences struggling with not harming myself. (Book 5 is the only part of the series touching on this topic)
A: With care and support. These books discuss trauma honestly. Some readers will find that healing and validating. Others will find it triggering.
